In 2006 the Lexington Group established the Richard C. Overton Research Fellowship to honor one of the organization\u2019s founders and a leading scholar of America\u2019s railroads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Awards in amounts of up to $4,000 each are available to qualified applicants to help underwrite expenses connected with scholarly research in the history of transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please send your application (which is available here<\/a>) by email to <\/em>overton-award@lexingtongroup.org<\/a>.\u00a0 Applications must be dated and sent no later than May 31, 2026.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Current members of the Overton Prize Committee are Simon Cordery, John Friedmann, Daniel Rust and Ron Goldfeder.
