“Railroad Stations in American Life” is Peter A. Hansen’s story of the origins of historic preservation laws in the US, the destruction of Pennsylvania Station in NY, and architecture’s sense-of-place in communities. It weaves Pete’s masterful script into a collection of recent interviews of the personal remembrances of train travelers and station lovers across the country. The film will be of interest to architectural historians and historic preservationists, as well as rail enthusiasts. It will be released to PBS nationwide. Produced by Kalmbach Publishing, with Emmy-nominated Director Richard Luckin and featuring Hollywood actor Michael Gross.
Members of the Lexington Group’s Board of Directors will be in attendance.
